Debbie Sallman, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer, at the Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS. She was born on Aug. 28, 1951 in Concordia, KS to Leon and Ila (Huntsinger) Gennette.
Debbie was a 1969 graduate from Notre Dame Catholic High School, Concordia, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to Karl Sallman on Oct. 3, 1969 in Salina, Kansas. To this union three children were born, Pamela, Chad and Brock.
Debbie worked for the Fina Mart in Clyde for several years. She also was the bookkeeper and managed the HR department for Sallman Construction. She also worked for the Census Bureau of Kansas and later the Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde.
She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia and was a life member of the D.A.V. Association.
Debbie enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Karl, Clifton, KS; daughter Pamela Huebert, Park City, KS; sons Chad Sallman (Malinda), Concordia, KS; Brock Sallman (Sara Young), Concordia, KS; 13 grandchildren, Jake, Joe, Breanna, Dylan, Blake, Morgan, Brooklyn, Jonas, Vanyk, Reese, Frankie, Waylon, Joel and Chace; her siblings Janice Gordon, Newton, KS; Patty Davis, Jack Gennette (Barbara), Greg Gennette, Tom Gennette, Susan Nemechek, Todd Gennette, all of Concordia, KS; and brother-in-law, Danny Breault of Alabama, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; sister Cindy Breault, brother Mike Gennette, niece Tammy Davis, nephew Trevor Gennette, and great-nephew Spencer Booth.
The family selected cremation and will celebrate her life at a later date.
