CONCORDIA – A big week at the plate has led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Softball Player of the Week honors for Cloud County Community College freshman catcher Taylor Glause.

Glause had a monster debut in her first two games as a T-Bird, helping Cloud County to a season-opening sweep of the Bethany College JV. After driving in four of Cloud County's seven runs in game one, Glause would go three-for-three in game two with two home runs and five RBI as her other hit would come as a triple. For the week, Glause had a 2.000 slugging percentage and .714 batting average to go along with a .750 on-base percentage.

The Malcolm, Neb., native became the first T-Bird softball player this season to earn KJCCC honors and just the second player in the past two seasons, joining Mattison Hogrefe who earned KJCCC Pitcher of the Week honors in 2020.
