CONCORDIA -- Cloud County Health Center's received a boost thanks to the members of a local church.
Members of Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, recently presented Cloud County Foundation for Health Care a donation of $100,000 to be used for the new hospital building project, according to information provided by the health center. Church members participating in the presentation were Mark and Dorothy Morgan, Marilyn Flesher, Matt and Deb Lauer, Norman and Sherry Johnson, Lois Johnston, Jeannie Wilson, and Rev. Melanie Adams.
Dorothy Morgan said, “The church is very pleased to provide these funds to assist in the building project that will provide continuing quality health care to the community.”
Trinity United Methodist Church had monies available through the Fortney estate. Dorothy Morgan said, “I believe the Fortney’s would be very happy to see the church make this donation for a new hospital.”
Brandt Hutchinson, president of the foundation, expressed great appreciation for this generous gift from Trinity Church.
“This donation, along with those from past donors, is a great testament to the willingness of our community to support our local hospital and healthcare family,” Hutchinson said.
