Karin Belden, Beloit

May 6, 1942 - January 5, 2022
Karin Ann Belden was born to Bernice (Curry) and Harold T. Taylor on May 6, 1942 in Beloit. She passed away on January 5, 2022 at MCHHS at 79 years of age.
Karin grew up moving around and finally settling in Beloit, KS. She attended school in Beloit and graduated from Beloit High School with the class of 1960.
She married Gary Belden on December 28, 1960. To this union, four children were added to make the family complete.
Karin worked for many years as the bookkeeper at Fuller Chevrolet, where her children recall hanging out and chatting with the parts and service crew. After leaving there, she worked in a local veterinary clinic for a while before joining Gary and Tom on the farm to run the pig operation. Karin loved animals of all sorts and her final career was to own and run a kennel. She never grew tired of her furry friends and they all held a special place in her heart.
Whenever Karin had a spare moment, she could probably be found reading. She enjoyed family camping trips to the lake and was involved as a Girl Scout leader for many years. Family trips to Florida, Colorado, Missouri and KC were spear headed by her sense of adventure. She enjoyed attending school and church programs for the grandkids. A favorite treat to prepare when the grandkids were visiting was either a trip to DQ or making her own strawberry Shasta ice cream floats.
Karin is preceded in death by her husband Gary and her parents.
She is survived by her children Tom (April) and granddaughters, Jessie (Collin) and great granddaughter Lila of Downs, KS; Jamie (Colyn) of Hooper, NE; Tim and grandson Kevin of Barre, VT; Traci (Thad) and granddaughters Lexi, Bryn and Hanna of Shickley, NE; Terri and grandchildren Kyla, Celeste, Silas, Arianna and Gavin of Eudora, KS.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home in Beloit. A family graveside burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Perdue Hospitality Home or Post Rock Humane Society.
