Patsy Louise Bednar, daughter of Wesley Mathews and Edna (McKenna) Mathews was born February 28, 1948 in Woodard, Oklahoma and passed away on December 16, 2021 at her home in South Hutchinson, Kansas at the age of 73
Patsy enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge with her husband, Norman, spending time helping out at their daughter’s daycare and time spent with family and friends was great.
She was united in marriage to Norman Joe Bednar on November 28, 1970 in Hutchinson, Kansas and to this union one daughter Julie was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Edna Mathews, husband, Norman Joe Bednar on September 15, 1995, infant granddaughter, Addison Young, three sisters, Wanda, Barbara and Donna, one brother, Seldon.
She is survived by one daughter, Julie Young and her husband Kelan of Hutchinson, KS, two granddaughters, Brooke and Morgan of Hutchinson, KS, two sisters, Mary Swepton of Hutchinson, KS, Dixie Mathews of Kansas City, other relatives and many friends.
Cremation was chosen.
Friends may sign the register book with visitation with the family present from 6 PM to 7 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Graveside Inurnment services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2021 at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas, conducted by Pastor Jacob Rice.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to TECH or Trisomy 18 Foundation.
