Scott Gardner has been appointed the City of Salina's director of computer technology.
City Manager Mike Schrage made the announcement in a news release this morning.
“Scott’s skill set and experience is unique and has allowed him to step into a key management vacancy to support our operations. Transitioning Scott to the full-time role will allow him and his team to assess departmental and organizational needs and determine how to align to meet those needs,” Schrage said.
Gardner has been serving as the interim computer technology director since May 2022.
Gardner has served the city since 2018 in the process improvement director role. Prior to joining the city staff, he worked at Raytheon Aircraft in various capacities.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in electronic technology from the University of Northern Iowa and obtained a master’s in business administration from Kansas Wesleyan University. He has various Lean/Six Sigma certifications including Master Black Belt, Black Belt, and Innovation Engineering Black Belt.
