Unlocked car stolen in south Salina early Thursday; keys inside

Police are investigating the theft of a car in south Salina early Thursday morning.

Michael Hogan, 24, of Salina, reported that his blue 2000 Nissan Altima was stolen from where it was parked near the intersection of Quincy Street and E. Wayne Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The incident occurred sometime between 2-7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Hogan told police that the car was unlocked and the keys were inside.

The car had a Kansas license plate of 509 KSY and was valued at $1,025, Forrester said.
