Angel Roman (FR/Jacksonville, Fla.) had two outstanding performances for the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes on defense on the way to earning KCAC Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week honors as selected by conference sports information directors.
KWU split its two games in a triangular on Saturday, defeating Midland but losing to Ottawa.
Against Midland, she had five flag pulls to go along with two interceptions and a pass break up.
Against Ottawa had a career-best 12 flag pulls.
This marks the second time in as many weeks that Roman has been named the KCAC Women's Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week.
