UPDATED MEMORIAL SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Howard L. Herrman, 68, of Norway, KS, passed away February 7, 2021 at his home in Norway.

Cremation was selected and graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Norway Cemetery, with Pastor Shawn Baird, officiating. 

Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Belleville Masonic Lodge # 129, AF&AM.

A gathering and luncheon provided by the family will be held immediately following the service at the Norway Community Center, in memory of Howard and his Brother, Olaf Herrman.   Everyone is welcome to attend. 

Memorials are suggested to the Howard L. Herman Memorial or in memory of Olaf Herrman:   Gideons International and they be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 326, Belleville, KS  66935.

Howard attended the local schools in Scandia, Kansas, graduating from Scandia High School in 1970.     In his early years, he farmed in the area.    Howard then was involved with roofing, mainly sprayed foam and coating since 1984, along with weed/lawn spraying also.   

On July 28, 1978, he was united in marriage to Paula Nondorf and to this union was born:  Trevor, Travis, and Channing.    The couple made their home in Norway, Kansas.

Howard was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Radio Club, the North Central Kansas Shrine, and was an Isis Clown with the Shriners.He also was a member of the Kansas Tractor Club, FCRV and Kansas Campers, the Swinging Swedes Square Dancers, and the Kickin Kountry Kloggers.  He was a Cub and Boy Scout Leader, and a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Norway, Kansas

Howard was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Herrman; sister, Doris Herrman, and brothers, Harold Herrman and Olaf Herrman.

He is survived by his wife Paula Herrman of Norway, KS;  two sons, Trevor (Renee) Herrman of Minden, NE and Travis (Lexie) Herrman of Concordia, KS;  one daughter, Channing (Roy) Herrman of Norway, KS;  his father, Eugene Herrman of Norway, KS; 8 Grandchildren,  Bella, Marta, Audrey, Prudence, Kylee, Layne, Emma and Miah;   two brothers,  Victor (Laura) Herrman of Skidmore, MO and Eric (Pamela) Herrman of Chandler, Arizona; two sisters, Vickie (Gerold) Hall of Scandia, KS and Carol (Ron) McDaniel of Phillipi, West Virginia;  in-laws, Mike (Jan) Nondorf, Lois Walkenhorst, Dawn (Brian) Phillips, and Katherine Herrman; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.    Everyone one is welcome to greet the family and share memories of Howard.
