A teenager was sent to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on July 25 at 5:49 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5900 block of N Hedville Road, just north of Humbargar for the report of a single-vehicle crash.

A 19-year-old identified as Adriana Baltazor of Tescott was reportedly driving south on Hedville when the Sheriff's stated that she thought she had fallen asleep and went across the east side of the roadway.

She drove down a deep embankment and struck trees, where the vehicle rested.

Baltazor was trapped inside the vehicle, and the Salina Fire Department arrived on the scene and successfully pried open the driver's side door.

She sustained lacerations and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center by EMS.
