Delbert Eugene Moore, 85, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021 peacefully at Angel Arms.

Delbert was born in rural Osborne, Kansas on September 21, 1935, a son of Glen Eugene and Mary Laura (Chandler) Moore.

Delbert attended Greenwood Grade School and graduated from Osborne High School, Osborne, Kansas in 1956.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in McPherson.

Delbert worked different jobs through the years including going to California for a couple years to work in vehicle upholstery, and worked for Luray Co-op Grain Elevator for 25 years. After moving to McPherson he worked for Blue Beacon Car Wash until he retired in 1999. After Delbert retired he volunteered his time with the McPherson County Food Bank in McPherson.

Delbert was a Lions member in Luray, Kansas.

Delbert Eugene Moore was united in marriage to Loeta Kay Wilcoxson on March 27, 1960 in Osborne, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in rural Osborne. Loeta passed away Jan. 12, 1983.
Delbert Eugene Moore was united in marriage to Jane Dibble on April 27, 1989. This union established their home together in McPherson. This union joined Jane's two sons, Darin and Dorin with Delbert's three daughters and a son, Evelina, Linda, Darwin and Leah to become a blessed family of six.

Through the years Delbert enjoyed working, gardening, limestone projects, walking, fishing with his friend Rodney Borne and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jane Moore, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Evelina Moore, of Manhattan, Kansas, Linda Mock and her husband John, of Greenville, South Carolina, Darwin Moore, of Ravenna, Nebraska, Leah Cochran and her husband Danny, of Russell, Kansas, Darin Nelson and his wife Teresa, of Galva, Kansas and Dorin Nelson, of Marquette, Kansas; his sister Carolyn McKinney, of Olathe, Kansas.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren - Crystal, Annie, Joseph(Miranda), Nathan, Josey, Zachary, Gabriel(Sarah), Seth(Megan), Ethan, Alicia and Jason(Michelle); four great grandchildren, Adalyn, Emerson, Natalie and Logan.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loeta and his brother, Donald.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, McPherson, Kansas, with Pastor John Barkett officiating.

A private family burial will be at a later date.
