Catherine L. (Kay) Brann, 84, of Salina, passed away peacefully at her home February 11, 2022. She was born March 6, 1937, in Osawatamie, KS to Azalee Richards.
Kay and Richard were united in marriage Sept. 12, 1984.
She was a waitress at Betty’s Fried Chicken. Richard and Kay owned Kay’s Kitchen, and she worked at Dillons until her retirement 20 years ago.
She looked forward to family gatherings. Family was very important to her.
Kay was preceded in death by daughter Cynthia Bergman, nephew Jeffery Hemmy, mother Azalee Richards, sister Mary Lou Hemmy and husband Richard Brann.
Survivors include daughters Debbie Salada, Brenda Allison (Trace), Jodi (Dave) Ritten all of Salina, Cynthia (Terry) Latham of Hutchison, sons Jerry Bergman (Jan), of Salina, Lonnie Bergman (Lil), of Assaria, nephew Troy (Sarah) Hemmy of Overland Park, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Per Kay’s request cremation was chosen. There will be no memorial service.
