Robert (Bob) Glen Paige was born on February 12, 1943, in Minneapolis, to Robert Ernest Paige and Isabel (Mann) Paige. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, his Heavenly Father called and said, ‘Come home, Son.’ With an angel taking him by the hand, he was gently ushered into the arms of Jesus.
On June 18, 1961, Bob married the love of his life, Kathryn Gawith. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and devotion. They were blessed with five children: Cynthia (Harry) Atwell of Delphos, Robin (David) Stein of Overland Park, Timothy (Kayla) Paige of Delphos, Rebekah (Andy) Helget of Minneapolis, and Jessica (Scott) Doering of Delphos.
Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He found endless pride in his 14 grandchildren (Alisha, Andy, Audra, Paige, Kaitlin, Grace, Katie, Kelsie, Hunter, Noah, Gabbie, Max, Addison, and Austin) and 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom he made feel like his favorite. He is also survived by his siblings, Pamela Paige of Greeley, Colorado, and Dick (Vickie) Paige, of Lawrence, and was preceded in death by his sister, Roselea Covert.
Bob is also survived by his brother-in-law, Kenneth Gawith; sister-in-law, Deloris Pachta; and numerous nieces and nephews. He held deep gratitude and affection for his foster family, Dale and Mabel Haley—and foster brothers Paul and Dwight Haley of Delphos. He cherished their bond deeply, and now reunites in Heaven with Dale, Mabel, and Dwight.
A true family man—caring, humble, and always putting others before himself—Bob lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering faith. He dedicated his career to the grain industry as the proud owner of Delphos Grain Company and Paige Grain Service, where he led with integrity and worked with his hands and heart. He served his community faithfully as a member of the USD 239 Board of Education, Church Board President and Elder, Delphos City Council member, and as the longtime sexton of the Delphos Cemetery.
Bob had a gift for finding beauty in the simple things. He spent his free time woodworking, camping, fishing, restoring antiques— breathing new life into pieces others might have tossed aside. And through it all, whether with a neighbor, a friend, or a grandchild, he had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved.
He often told his grandkids when they asked about the future, “Oh, I don’t know about that... I’ll probably be fishing on the Jordan by then.” While they always protested with, “Don’t say that, Grandpa,” today we smile through our tears, knowing he’s finally there—fishing peaceful waters under Heaven’s sky.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 13, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 14, at the Delphos Auditorium.
Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pathway Church or the Salina Rescue Mission and may be left in care of the funeral home.
