SALINE COUNTY - A male teen loses his vehicle after a fire on Friday afternoon.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on August 7 at about 2:40 pm , deputies were dispatched to the area Hedberg Road and the Old 81 Highway for the report of a white 2001 Toyota Camry on fire.
Reportedly, Orestas Puidokas (19) from Salina was heading south on Old 81 when smoke was coming from the vehicle. Puidokas then turned off onto Hedberg due to the heavy smoke and a fire started underneath the vehicle.
Sheriff's Office says it was a transmission fluid leak. Rural Fire District #2 arrived and extinguished the fire.
Puidokas was not injured, but the vehicle was a total loss.
