SALINA —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged violence against a woman.
Just before 3:30a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 200 block of S. 4th in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance, according to Sergeant Kyle Tonniges
Officers made contact with a 37-year-old woman from Salina. She reported she arrived home to find her ex- boyfriend, a 34 year old suspect of Salina, had entered her residence while she was at work. There was an argument and the suspect took the victim’s phone from her.
The suspect damaged $180 worth of the victim’s property in the home and struck her several times.
The suspect blocked the door and would not allow the victim to leave. She was able to escape, but the suspect caught up to her outside on the street.
The suspect pulled her down and drug her in the street while attempting to get her back inside the residence. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived. Police still searching for the suspect for Kidnapping, Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal Deprivation of Property.
