CONCORDIA - The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has announced the KJCCC Track and Field Athletes of the Week for Week 5 of the 2022 outdoor track and field season with Cloud County Community College women's track and field athletes Miracle Thompson and Hollie Stewart sweeping the women's awards for the week.

Thompson would break her own school record for the fourth time this season over the weekend at the 2022 Sooner Invitational hosted by the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma by posting a time of 13.58 seconds in the event. The time, which was wind-legal (under 2.0 meters/second), is currently the third-fastest time run in the NJCAA this season and the second-fastest wind-legal time.

Stewart meanwhile would compete in the 2022 Grizzly Classic hosted by Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas where the Wichita, Kansas native would win the javelin with a throw of 43.17 meters (141 ft. - 8 in.). The mark is currently the best javelin mark in the NJCAA this season while Stewart would also go on to win the shot put with a mark of 13.55 meters (44 ft. - 5.5 in.) which ranks fourth in the NJCAA.

The award for Stewart is the second time this season that she has been named KJCCC women's track athlete of the week in the outdoor season to go along with her award on March 29 when Cloud County also swept the women's track and field athlete of the week honors.
