Robert “Bob” Dean Carlson, 68, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita.  Bob was an auto mechanic for Consolidated Motors and Ken Goering Motors and retired from Pfizer where he was a production equipment specialist.

Bob was born on May 23, 1955, in Herington, KS, the son of Dale Lee and Delores Elizabeth (Miltz) Carlson.  He graduated from Centre High School in Lost Springs, KS in 1973.  On September 15, 2001, Bob was united in marriage to Brenda Sue (Parks) Nading in McPherson.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Brenda of the home; children, Jeffery Carlson of Herington, KS, Jennifer Foote (Josh) of Hudson, KS, Emma Lauer (Jason) of St. Augustine, FL, and Andy Nading (Kaysi) of Lindsborg, KS; brothers, Kevin Carlson (Roxanna) of McPherson, KS and Mike Carlson of Herington, KS; mother-in-law, Adella Parks of McPherson, KS; 14 grandchildren, Brittney Schrag, Baylee Schrag, Brayden Schrag, Amaya Sneeth, Eli Foote, Kaden Foote, Jerrett Lauer, Juliette Lauer, Traetyn Foote, Jace Lauer, Jillian Lauer, Axton Nading, Kynnidy Foote, and Keelyn Nading; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Carlson and Ronald Carlson; a grandchild, Atcher Nading; and father-in-law, Clement Roy Parks.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 4, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
