
HILLSBORO – Kansas Wesleyan Track continued its season on Saturday at the Tabor Invitational.
In the women's 100m, Molly Watson (FR/Loveland, Colo.) got 12th place with a time of 12.60 seconds.
In the men's 100m, Eugene Dixon (JR/Plymouth, Minn.) placed 23rd leading the Coyote finishers in a huge field with a time of 10.96 seconds. Nigel Davis (SR/South Los Angeles, Calif.) was 31st in 11.14, Nathaniel Hays (FR/Santa Fe, Texas) was 59th in 11.65, Esaias Freemon (FR/New Orleans, La. ) was 69th in 11.84 and Jaheem Muhammad (FR/De Soto, Texas) was 71st in 12.03 seconds.
In the women's 200m, Watson was ninth with a time of 25.65 seconds.
In the men's 200m, Dixon led the Coyote finishers in 19th with a time of 22.32, while Nigel Davis was 27th in 22.65 and Julian Urioste (FR/Portales, N.M.) was 28th in 22.65 seconds, the difference between the two in the thousandths of a second.
In the men's 400m, Randall Thornton (FR/Salina, Kan.) finished 45th with a time of 60.37 seconds.
In the men's 400m hurdles, Malik Young (SR/South Los Angeles, Calif.) was seventh with a time of 57.18 seconds.
In the women's 800m, Tabetha Deines (JR/Salina, Kan.) was second with a time of 2:15.30, just eight-hundredths behind Aubry Donley of Friends. Regan Rhodes (SO/Mullinville, Kan.) was 15th in 2:35.78, Jadin Bezdicek (SR/Jackson, Minn.) was 27th in 2:41.88, and Cindy Sheaffer (SO/Oberlin, Kan.) was 42nd in 2:54.19.
Trey Stramel (FR/Colby, Kan.) led the men's 800m finishers in 22nd with a time of 2:05.82, while Daniel York (FR/Linn, Kan.) was 28th in 2:09.37 and Stevie Merrill was 42nd in 2:18.03.
York led the men's 1500m finishers in 23rd in 4:25.90 and Merrill was 45th in 4:42.14.
Timothy Kilburn (FR/Phoenix, Ariz.) was seventh in the steeplechase with a time of 10:45.84. Christina Tripp (FR/Dayton, Idaho) was second on the women's side in the steeplechase with a time of 12:23.05.
Shane Calvin (FR/Lakin, Kan.) led the men's 5000m finishers with a time in 16:24.82 in ninth, Austin Hess (FR/Garden City, Kan.) was 13th in 16:32.56 and Michael Vongphakdy (FR/Salina, Kan.) was 21st in 17:09.10.
Stephanie Martinez (JR/Horizon City, Texas) won the women's 10000m with a time of 37:43.81.
Saffron Jacobs was fourth in the discus with a toss of 36.52m, Kayla Edgett (FR/Bellevue, Texas) was seventh with a throw of 34.76m, and Rachael McWilliams (FR/Leavenworth, Kan.) was 19th with a throw of 30.90m.
Marisela Hernandez-Castro (SR/Olivehurst, Calif.) was fifth in the hammer with a throw of 44.04m, and Nicole Holaday (SO/Gove, Kan.) was 15th with a throw of 38.59m.
Young was 12th in the javelin with a throw of 37.85m and Thornton was 23rd with a throw of 21.65m.
Eryk Kyser (FR/Caney, Kan.) was fifth in the long jump with a jump of 6.93m.
Holaday was ninth in the shot put with a throw of 11.08m, McWilliams was 21st with a throw of 9.65m and Edgett was 25th with a throw of 9.46m.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Dixon, Kyser, Davis and Urioste was seventh with a time of 42.68 seconds.
The 4x400m relay team of Dixon, Davis, Young and Kyser was fourth in 3:23.81.
The Coyotes are at the Southwestern Relays next weekend before the KCAC Championships on May 6 and 7 in Ottawa.
