Kansas Wesleyan's women's 4x800m relay team brought home KCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for an outstanding effort last weekend. KCAC Players of the Week are selected by a vote of conference athletic communicators based on their performances over the past week and are presented at the conference level by Equity Bank.
The relay team that consisted of Madisyn Ehrlich, Hailey Nordhus, Joni Schroeder and Kirstin Hackney won the event at last weekend's Concordia Classic in Seward, Neb. with a time of 9:31.22 which set a new school mark and hit the NAIA Automatic qualifying standard for the event.
This is not the first time this season that the group has set a new school record in the event.
KWU's indoor track season continues this weekend at the Washburn Open in Topeka.
