KWU's Ware named KCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year

Kansas Wesleyan's Bryce Ware (SO/Amarillo, Texas) was selected as the 2023 KCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year as announced by the conference office.

The All-KCAC tennis teams are selected by the conference coaches.

Player of the Year was not the only award Ware received. He was also named as the KCAC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and was a first-team All-KCAC selection.

Ware was the lone KWU selection to the All-KCAC teams.

Through the end of the regular season, Ware posted a 15-1 record at No. 1 singles on the season, including a 10-1 mark against conference opponents. He is ranked No. 37 in the latest ITA Tennis NAIA singles ranking, and is ranked second in the ITA Central Regional ranking. In doubles, playing with Garrison Wright (SO/Maize, Kan.), Ware posted a 10-1 record in the No. 1 flight in conference play. The duo is ranked sixth in the ITA Central Regional rankings.

The Coyotes are in the 2023 KCAC Men's Tennis tournament and are facing Ottawa in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Lawrence at the Lawrence Genesis Health Club.
