A red flag warning has been issued for some counties in our area for Friday.
The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a red flag warning in effect from 1-8 p.m. Friday for the following counties in our area.
Jewell County
Mitchell County
South-southwest to south winds at 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 35 mph and relative humidity as low as 15 to 20 percent are forecast.
Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly. Use caution if engaging in activities that could result in fire ignition.
