Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in south-central Salina.
An 18-year-old Salina woman was southbound on Larson Street when the red 2014 Ford Fiesta she was driving was hit by a gray SUV of unknown make or model that was westbound on Charlotte Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The SUV then fled the scene.
The wreck occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The woman's car had rear driver's side damage, Forrester said. The SUV should have front-end damage.
