OPENING STATEMENT: âAlright, the fellas that didnât practice today were, (DB) Chamarri (Conners), Chamarri banged his knee, and so we gave him a little time there for that thing to calm down. (WR) Jimmy Holiday didnât practice, and then (G) Trey Smith, (CB) LâJarius Sneed, and (LB Drue) Tranquill. Everybody else was out there, (CB Chris) Roland - (Wallace), and it was good where it was a 10-10-10 variant, so it was non-contact. Guys that might have been in yellow jerseys werenât in yellow jerseys today, and (CB) Kader (Kohou) has a little soreness in his ankle, so we kept him out also. Look forward to [the] challenge of playing a team, actually, coming up here with the Rams. So, being able to compete against somebody else and it should be a good, good test for our young guys to get out there and have an opportunity to play. So, the way the rotation will go is (QB Patrick) Pat (Mahomes) wonât start or play, and then itâll be (QB) Justin (Fields), and then (QB Garrett) Nussmeier, and then (QB) Chris (Oladokun) will take it from there. So, weâll just see how the reps go as we work through them.â
Q: Are more starters than usual going to sit this preseason game out?
REID: âI wouldnât necessarily say that. Weâll see where it goes.â
Q: Do you see yourself delegating the challenges to another coach?
REID: âYeah, so Iâve got a guy in the box that I talk to. So, I basically delegated it to him to know, we got technology up there that you can use. So, Iâll probably still do it. Thatâs not a real big deal.â
Q: Is that where the decision comes from when seeing the replays?
REID: âYeah, I mean I communicate upstairs.â
Q: Do you need to see the starting offensive line considering competition in those positions?
REID: âYeah, I mean, listen, thereâs a chance they get in and play. How much I canât tell you that.â

DT CHRIS JONES
Q: Do you have any tips for the young guys when youâre dealing with the heat?
JONES: âWe are all dealing with the heat. You have to battle through it you know, mental toughness. Thatâs where itâs created, out here. Repetition of back-to-back days of practice with pads on. I think itâs more so building mental toughness out here so in the game it wonât be so effective.â
Q: On early days of his career to now.
JONES: âAh, memory lane. A lot of adversity at first when I got here and then championships and a little more adversity and hopefully then championships.â
Q: On the importance of the days during training camp.
