Salina man wanted for attempted first degree murder captured

A Salina man wanted for attempted first degree murder has been captured.

According to information from the Salina Police Department, Brandon Lambert, 34, was located at a north Salina residence today and was taken into custody without incident.

Officers were sent to the 200 block of S. College Avenue on March 20 in regard to a domestic violence call. Officers spoke to a 29-year-old Salina woman who reported being the victim of domestic violence related crimes.

The suspect in the case, Lambert, had left the area as officers arrived on scene.

According to the police department, an affidavit was submitted to the Saline County Attorney’s Office, and an arrest warrant was issued by the Saline County District Court for Lambert for the following requested charges.

Attempted first degree murder

Aggravated domestic violence battery

Aggravated kidnapping

Aggravated burglary

Aggravated assault

Aggravated intimidation of a witness

Criminal threat

Criminal damage to property

Violation of protection order

Harassment by telecommunication device

Salina police ask that anyone with additional information about the case contact the Detective Division of the department.
