MANHATTAN – Kansas State women’s basketball has added an exhibition game and a home game in December as part of its 2020-21 schedule.
The Wildcats have been granted a schedule waiver from the NCAA for this season to play at Fort Hays State in an exhibition game on Nov. 25, in Hays. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
Seating in Gross Memorial Coliseum will be reduced to 25 percent of capacity to fall in line with school and local guidance. For more information regarding arena policies and procedures at Fort Hays State, please visit www.fhsuathletics.com. A live stream of the game will be available on The MIAA Network.
This will be K-State’s first visit to Fort Hays State since February 16, 1976, when the programs were members of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW).
K-State’s originally announced game at Omaha on Saturday, December 12, has been moved to Bramlage Coliseum due to an arena scheduling conflict for the Mavericks. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
Kansas State will now open the 2020-21 season with a seven-game home stand, the longest since the 1992-93 season.
K-State was selected for a fourth-place finish in the 2020-21 Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll. The Wildcats will be led into the season by unanimous Preseason All-Big 12 selection and 2021 All-America candidate Ayoka Lee and Preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection Rachel Ranke.
Kansas State returns nine letter winners for the 2020-21 season. K-State also welcomes in graduate transfer Sydney Goodson, junior Makayla Pippin, redshirt freshman Jada Thorpe from injury and freshmen Taylor Lauterbach and Jada Moore.
