WICHITA, Kan. - Kansas Wesleyan Baseball's Chris Finocchario was selected as the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week for his efforts last week for the Coyotes.
In five games last week, Finocchario was big for the Coyotes. He had two hits and drove in two runs as the Coyotes beat (RV) Concordia (Neb.) 4-1. Against Hesston, he was solid every game, getting on base and scoring runs and driving in runs. He hit .615 for the week with a .714 on base percentage and a 1.385 slugging average. His OPS was over 2.000. He also had a homerun-robbing catch against Concordia, and made a couple other outstanding catches against Hesston to keep runs off the board.
His efforts helped the No. 12 ranked Coyotes improve to 32-6 overall heading into Wednesday's game with McPherson.
