Keith Wayne Davis, 69, of New Cambria, Kansas, passed away at his home on Friday, May 21.
Keith was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on July 3, 1951, the son of the late David Keith and Beverly Jane (Brown) Davis. On July 5, 1975 he was united in marriage to Susan Ludwig. Keith graduated from Barton County Community College with a degree in technical drafting. After serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he worked as an engineering technician, ultimately retiring from the city of Salina in 2011.
Over the many years of Keith's life he enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, photography, collecting rare and interesting rocks, and the company of his family.
Keith is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan; daughter Crystal Boyer and husband Curtis of Solomon; daughter Jenny Thompson and husband Jason of Salina; son Allen Davis and fiancé Jackie of Springfield, Missouri; sister Cynthia Davis of Ohio; and ten grandchildren - Clayten, Isabella, Grace, Emma Gayle, Lily, Jordan, Jackson, Madelyn, Emma Jean, and Cameron.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 31 at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina.
On Tuesday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m., a celebration of life will be held at the funeral home. A private burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Riley with military honors by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
The family suggests memorials to the Disabled American Veterans in Salina.
