Storms are expected to develop between 9 p.m. and midnight in central Kansas and gradually spread south during the night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
A few strong storms with small hail, gusty winds, and brief heavy rain are likely. A severe storm or two with quarter sized hail and 50 to 60 mph winds are possible, NWS reported.
