A Manhattan construction company is out more than $2,500 worth of tools, accessories, and cable after a construction trailer parked just north of Salina was burgled.
Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander said this morning that deputies were called to an A and A Towing lot at 1332 N. Ohio Street, on Sunday for the report of a break-in.
An employee told deputies that the fence was cut and several vehicles had been gone through. Damage to the fence was estimated at $100, Melander said.
On Monday, the sheriff's office received a call from Cheney Construction, Inc., of Manhattan. The company had discovered that a construction trailer it had stored on the A and A lot had been broken into and $2,570 worth of items were missing, including the following.
●A Makita angle grinder
●A Makita nibbler
●A Makita impact driver
●A Makita drill
●A Graco UltraMax paint sprayer and accessories
●75 feet of insulated copper power cable
