Marilyn Jo (Lank) Homolka
March 19, 1944 ~ February 26, 2024

Marilyn Jo Homolka, 79, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 in Salina, KS. She was born March 19, 1944 in Ellsworth, KS to Joe and Emilie (Mattas) Lank. Marilyn married James Homolka in Ellsworth on November 9, 1968. She was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County where she was a member of Ellsworth Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 174 Auxiliary. She worked at Citizen’s State Bank for 43 years, retiring as a loan officer in 2010.

Marilyn is survived by her husband James Homolka of Ellsworth; son Ryan Homolka (Michelle) of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Sumner and Sophia; sisters, Janet Peppiatt (Sam) of Garland, TX and Linda Heitschmidt (Art) of Wichita, KS; brother Terry Lank (Darlene) of Moundridge, KS; and sister-in-law Gayle Lank of Joplin, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald Lank.

Marilyn loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She also kept very busy playing cards and bunco. You could find her several afternoons sitting around a card table enjoying her large circle of friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and those friends.

Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Family will be present 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Ellsworth Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial following at Palacky Cemetery.
