Sheriff: Marquette man hospitalized after rear-end crash in Saline County

Marquette man rolls over in his truck, after a rear-end crash in Saline County.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on April 16 at approximately 6:57 pm, deputies were notified of an injury accident that occurred at the intersection of Burma and Falun roads.

Reportedly, a 19-year old woman (Falun, KS) was driving a black 2014 Ford Taurus northbound on Burma road and attempted to turn west onto Falun. When she began turning, a 19-year old male (Marquette, KS) driving a red 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup, rear-ended her.

The woman had an infant boy inside the vehicle when the crash happened.

Both were not injured.

However, the man rolled over in his vehicle after the collision. He was treated by medics on scene and transported to Salina Regional Health Center for further treatment.

The Sheriff's Office issued the 19-year old man citations for Speeding and Driving in a no Passing Zone.
