Sondra Layne (Wernecke) Wiegand

Sondra Layne Wiegand passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in Salina, Kansas. She was born on December 9, 1951 in Springfield, Missouri to Charles and Violet Wernecke. She was a mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her son Chuck Hays (Kristi), daughter Lisa Hays-Lawrence (Walter). Stepsons Robbie, Troy, and Kevin Wiegand. Siblings, Sue Deters (John), Sidney Wernecke, Mark Wernecke (Jenny), Wes Wernecke (Sharon), and Robin Nash. She also has 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Butch Wiegand, son Scott Hays, and brothers Richard and David Wernecke.
It was her wish to not have a viewing, however a graveside service will be held in White City Cemetery, White City Kansas at 11 am on Friday, June 14, 2024.
