Salina man arrested after 1.67 pounds of meth found in car

A Salina man was arrested Saturday night after 1.67 pounds of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in his car.

Officers were sent to the parking lot of Kohl's, 2580 S. Ninth Street, at 8 p.m. Saturday for the report of a person slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle there, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

Officers located Kaleb Beaugh, 27, of Salina, slumped over in the driver’s seat of a 2008 Acura TL. Police K-9 Rodi indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics in the car and a subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted.

According to Forrester, 1.67 pounds of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia were located.

Beaugh was arrested on the following requested charges, Forrester noted.

Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Unlawful possession of drug proceeds

No drug tax stamp
