An active pattern of showers and thunderstorms is in store for the first half of the work week.
Although some strong to marginally severe storms are possible throughout the period, widespread severe weather appears low at this time, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita. However, very heavy rain and flooding could become a concern for some areas.
Temperatures will be cooler than in recent days, topping out near 90 each day, NWS noted.
