Salina man arrested for alleged threat to acquaintance

A Salina man was arrested early Wednesday after he allegedly threatened a female acquaintance.

Officers were called to the 100 block of W. Ellsworth at approximately 2 a.m. Wednesday for the report of a man making threats to a 35-year-old Salina woman, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said this morning.

The woman told officers that the man, who was an acquaintance, had contacted her via social media and had threatened her.

Officers made contact with the man, who was in the backyard of the woman's residence. Hanus said the officers were able to determine that the man, identified as Colt Carter, 38, of Salina, had threatened the woman.

Hanus said Carter was arrested on the following requested charges.
