Salina police are investigating a vehicle damage to property and arson case.
Sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday, someone keyed down to the metal a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup belonging to Ean Walter, 20, of Salina, while it was parked in the 1500 block of Ricky Circle, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. Additionally, there were what appeared to be paper towels in the gas tank fill tube that were partially burnt, that appeared to have caused the inside of the tube and the gas cover to melt, he added.
Damage was estimated at $4,500.
