Posted Jan 26, 2022 10:10 PM

ABILENE - With a theme of Dwight D. Eisenhower: The Making of a Leader, the Eisenhower Presidential Library will kick off its 2022 Lunch & Learn program on Thursday.

The virtual presentation is scheduled for noon Thursday via Zoom. Register in advance. Registration details are available at eisenhowerlibrary.gov.

Mary Jean Eisenhower will help those participating get to know her great-grandmother, Ida.

"Ida Eisenhower was a magnificent woman known for her strength and resilience. These character traits were passed down to each of her boys. She was a woman of strong moral fortitude with a gentle hand in teaching her children life-long lessons of character. Mary Jean will share family stories and experiences she uncovered while researching her great-grandmother's life," the Eisenhower Presidential Library noted in a news release.

The 2022 Lunch & Learn series is made possible courtesy of the Eisenhower Foundation with generous support from the Jeffcoat Foundation.
