Rolling Hills Zoo is thrilled to announce a double celebration for its 25th Anniversary in conjunction with the beloved annual Pumpkin PaZOOla event. Join the Rolling Hills Zoo on Saturday, October 12, for a fun-filled day that promises excitement for the whole family.
In celebration of this milestone, the Zoo is offering HALF-PRICE ADMISSION for children 12 and under with a paid adult admission, and they will also get to choose their very own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to take home. Plus, children who arrive in their Halloween costumes will get a FREE zoo gift! (Please no blown-up costumes as you will be asked to remove them before entering the zoo.) Be sure to bring your own treat sack to collect goodies at our Treat Stations scattered throughout the zoo.
From morning till late afternoon, the zoo will be buzzing with activity:
Pumpkin Patch: Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for your child to pick the perfect pumpkin.
Keeper Encounters & Animal Meet & Greets: Learn about your favorite animals and meet them up close.
Kettle Corn and Kona Ice Sno Cones: Add a splash of color to your day and enjoy some sweet treats (additional cost).
Fire Truck Display: Get an up-close look at the heroes of our community.
Games & Activities: Fun challenges for all ages.
Live Entertainment: Enjoy performances by dancers and twirlers at 10 and 11 AM, and a special concert by the Salina Youth Symphony at 1 PM.
Specials at the Overlook Restaurant: Grab a $2 hot dog or enjoy other fall treats from Mama G’s Food Truck.
Happy Trails Brew Co.: Sample seasonal brews for the adults (additional cost).
Mascots: Meet mascots our own Rolling Hills Zoo mascots.
Trivia Scavenger Hunt: Test your knowledge about the zoo and wildlife.
At 2 p.m. there will be a special 25th Anniversary Celebration where the zoo will announce exciting plans for the future, followed by a celebratory toast and cookies. Don’t miss out on the t-shirt throw—who knows, you might catch one!
To make your visit even more enjoyable, the zoo is offering a FREE shuttle service on Saturday. This shuttle will run from the north side of the pumpkin patch to the Wildlife Museum and will also assist guests who need extra help getting around. Please note, there will be no golf cart tours or pumpkin transport to the parking lot.
Due to the high number of children attending, the zoo won't be running the trams during this year’s Pumpkin PaZOOla. Rolling Hills Zoo apologizes for any inconvenience, but the safety of our guests is our top priority.
