Sammy Claire Sheppard

Sammy Claire Sheppard, 80, of Salina, Kansas, went home to his heavenly father on March 20, 2024. He was born on September 12,1943 to Ray and May Sheppard in Ellsworth, Kansas.
Sam graduated from Tescott High School in 1961. He entered the Navy in 1962 where he served on the aircraft carrier, USS Oriskany. Following 4 years of service, he attended Kansas Wesleyan University and graduated in 1970. After graduation he worked at Jarrett Electric. Then in 1974, Sam co-founded KASA Industrial Controls where he worked in sales for 20 years. Following many years of hard work and building a successful business, he retired in 1995.
Sam is survived by his wife, Carol Sheppard; his children, Michelle Milhon (David), Bill Sheppard (Trina), and Melissa Clark (Steve); stepchildren, Jesse Lemuz, Michael Lemuz (Alisha), and Randy Lemuz; his brothers, Chuck Sheppard (Connie), Sid Sheppard (Karen); and sister, Kathy Razak (Stan); as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Sam will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Salina on Friday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m.
