Sunday looks to be a beautiful summer day across the area.
According to the National Weather Service, cooler temperatures are expected for Sunday with highs topping out in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
Additionally, there is a slight chance for rain on Sunday. Scattered showers and storms are expected Sunday for areas generally along and especially east of Interstate 135. Strong or severe storms are not expected with this activity, the weather service noted.
