Glen N. Maddox Jr. passed away quickly and peacefully in Centennial, Colorado, with his family by his side, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from natural causes.

Glen was born in Salina, Kansas, to Glen N. Maddox Sr. and Daisy L. Maddox. He attended Salina High Central and later Fort Hays State University.

Glen lived a full and remarkable life. He was loved by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and associates, and his very special cousin, Judy Thompson Montgomery, formerly of Salina, and his brother in life long friendship, Rick McPhail, formerly of Salina, as well as by many strangers who quickly became friends. He also had a special love for pets and a lifelong passion for automobiles of all kinds, both vintage and new. 

Glen was predeceased in death by his parents, Glen N. Maddox Sr. and Daisy L. Maddox, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, formerly of Salina. Judson J. Thompson and Lena M. Thompson, his maternal Grandparents, of Salina, Kansas, and Carmel L. Maddox and Alma J. Maddox, his paternal Grandparents, of Mountain View, California. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Maddox, Centennial, Colorado, his two sons, Jud Maddox, Denver, Colorado, and Ryan Overstake, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, his four grandchildren, Brooks Overstake, Bozeman, Montana,  Matt Maddox, Denver, Colorado, Walker Overstake, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Claire Maddox, Denver, Colorado, and his two younger sisters, Marty Maddox Ogrin of Trinity, Florida and Debbie Maddox Gimbel of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Salina, and half brothers, Richard Maddox and Gary Maddox, of Colleyville, Texas. 

Glen devoted 40 years of his life to a career in commercial real estate development, including a long development partnership with Jack Nicklaus Golf Communities.  

Among the additional highlights of his life was his military service in the United States Army. He entered the Army on November 11, 1967, and served in the Justice Department while stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. During his service, he was recognized as an expert rifleman and served as a Drill Instructor. Glen was honorably discharged January 28, 1974.  Additionally Glen was an accomplished baseball pitcher for the Salina Optimist Yankees Baseball Team, Salina American Legion Baseball Team and was later recruited by the Pittsburgh Pirates Farm Team; something he was very proud of. 

Later in life he was a proud supporter of the Babe Ruth League in Salina Kansas. On February 1, 1976, Glen married Lori Overstake, beginning a marriage that would span greater than 50 years and leave a lasting legacy through their family.  Glen will be remembered for his kindness & strength, Christian faith, dedication to his entire family, service to his country, and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
