Dale L. “Duster” Hoffman, 71, official Walmart greeter of the Minneapolis Casey’s, died suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his home in Minneapolis.
Dale was born in Ellsworth on November 2, 1950, to Don and Donna (Priddy) Hoffman. He moved to Minneapolis in 1963 and was a graduate of Minneapolis High School in 1968. He graduated from Salina Vo-Tech with a diesel mechanic degree. Dale then worked for the Ottawa County Highway Department for over 30 years.
An avid fisherman, Dale also broke horses and loved helping at the Longford Rodeo. He also enjoyed helping his nephews with bull riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lori Jean Hoffman.
Survivors are his best friend and former wife, Jana Hoffman of Minneapolis; three daughters, Victoria Venzor Walters of Concordia, Dorian Venzor Bryson and her husband, Tyler of Abilene; and Alicia Brown Doering and her husband, Jason of Wells; two sisters, Janis Krein of Kanopolis and LeAnn Hauck of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
Dale’s kind smile, laughter, and presence will be missed by all who loved visiting with him in the parking lot of Casey’s.
It was Dale’s wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Dale Hoffman Memorial Fund and mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
