Negotiations between USD 305 and NEA-Salina are continuing after both sides exchanged their first round of proposals Tuesday.
While no formal settlement was reached, the parties did tentatively agree to the following, according to information provided by USD 305.
●Changes to the documentation required for horizontal movement on the salary schedule
●Changes to the language regarding the early notification incentives
●Elimination of copy fees for copies of personnel files
According to the district, proposals still on the table are suggested modifications to non-individual plan time, an increase in pay for teachers substituting for teachers, the establishment of maximum class sizes, and the establishment of a minimum winter break.
The next meeting for negotiations is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. June 2 at the district office, USD 305 noted in a news release.
