Deborah Searcy, 73, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Born on July 18, 1952, in Junction City, Kansas, she was the beloved daughter of Charles and Mary (Barrett) Brown. Deborah spent much of her career as a Unit Secretary at Salina Regional Health Center, where she was known for her dedication and steady presence. In retirement, she found joy in spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren grow, and collecting snowmen—small things that brought her quiet happiness.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Thomas Searcy, with whom she just celebrated 54 years of marriage. She also leaves behind two children: Jake Searcy of Salina, Kansas, and Blair (Jason) Cox of Wichita, Kansas. Deborah was a proud grandmother to Wesley, Addison, Ryann, Kennadi, and Aislinn. She is survived by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Deborah is also survived by her three brothers, who shared in her life’s journey: Michael (Kathleen) Brown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Steve Brown of Salina, Kansas; and Mark Brown of Columbia, Missouri.
In accordance with Deborah’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
