24-hour rainfall totals higher to the north; more storms on the way

Posted Jul 27, 2020 2:03 PM

Areas to our north have already received a good soaking from storms Sunday and overnight, but more rain is on the way.

Off-and-on scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected through tonight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita. Locally intense rain rates are likely, supporting pockets of localized flooding. Additionally, the strongest storms this afternoon and evening will be capable of locally strong wind gusts.

Only 0.17 of an inch was reported at the Salina Regional Airport, while 0.30 of an inch was reported in southeast Salina near the Eagle Radio studios.

Following are 24-hour rainfall totals as of 7 a.m. Monday (unless otherwise noted) from the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network.
