Game 1: SE of Saline 6, Minneapolis 4

Minneapolis did all of their damage early in this game, plating four runs in the top of the first to take the early lead.

Southeast chipped away at that lead, scoring a run of their own in the bottom of the first, three more in the second to tie it, and another in the third and the fourth to take a 6-4 lead.

Once Noah Rupert settled in, the Lion bats were silenced, with Rupert allowing just one earned run over his six innings pitched, striking out six before handing the ball to Burton Brooks for the save.

The Trojans were opportunistic in this game, making Minneapolis pay for three walks and three errors, and making the most of their six hits in the win.

Game 2: SE of Saline 11, Minneapolis 0

A shutout in the second game marked a stretch of 11 scoreless innings tossed by Trojan pitchers in this doubleheader, with Jackson Calvin dominating the Minneapolis lineup in a five-inning no-hitter.

Calvin was masterful on the mound, refusing to yield a single walk or hit through five innings, striking out four to secure the win for SES.

At the plate, the Southeast bats came alive, with eight different members recording a hit, and Tysen Keller, Kayson Bertrand, and Tiernan Ptacek each recording multi-hit games.

Bertrand led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, driving in four runs on the strength of two singles and a double.

With the sweep, Southeast of Saline improves to 13-3 while Minneapolis slides to 2-14.

The Trojans are back in action this Thursday to host the Smoky Valley Vikings.
