Hello and happy Wednesday, everybody, it’s Tyler Henry, back with another KINA Sports Update presented by Salina Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine…

_________

Due to heavy rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl, the game between the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals originally scheduled for Tuesday night was postponed.

The cross-state rivals will play a split doubleheader on Wednesday at Busch Stadium. The first pitch for the opener will be at 12:45 p.m., and the nightcap will begin at the originally scheduled time of 6:45 p.m.

Michael Wacha is expected to take the hill for the Royals in game one opposite Andre Pallante while game two will see Alec Marsh against Sonny Gray.

_________

Today will also see Sporting Kansas City back in action on the pitch as they take on FC Dallas.

Sporting still sits near the bottom of the Western table but could jump both St. Louis and Dallas with a win today.

This evening’s match is scheduled to begin at 8PM and will be proceeded by the annual blood drive, all donors will receive a free T-Shirt.

_________

And finally in case you missed it the Coach O Show aired last night and is now available on demand on our YouTube page.

You can hear Coach Heron O’Neal and others discuss the team’s upcoming semifinal showdown with the Albany Firebirds this Saturday.
