A proclamation, scholarships, updates, and executive sessions are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday morning.
About the meeting
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.
County Commission meetings are now available by several options. The Board of County Commissioners encourage citizen participation in local governance processes. Making every effort to be in compliance with the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KSA 75-4317). Everyone is invited to participate in meetings. Speakers are requested to state their full name and address before delivering remarks. Please approach the podium and use the microphone. Comments are limited to three minutes.

Agenda items
Commissioners are scheduled to hear a request to proclaim April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Lora Kirmer, community engagement coordinator for CAPS is scheduled to read the proclamation.
Commissioners also are scheduled to consider whether to approve two renewable $1,000 Oliver Hagg Memorial Scholarships for fall 2021. Students who are awarded an Oliver Hagg Memorial Scholarship have the ability to request that the scholarship be renewed if they maintain a 3.0 grade point average and continue to study in an ag-related field.
