A jail project update, the 2024 budget process, and bid awards are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.
About the meeting
Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings also can be viewed on Saline County’s YouTube channel:

Commissioners are scheduled to hear the January 2023 progress report on the new Saline County Jail project at 800 E. Pacific Avenue.

Commissioners also are scheduled to discuss the 2024 budget process. The discussion will include a proposed calendar for the process.
Other items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday include the following.
●Consider approving a cereal malt beverage license for Salina Speedway.
●Consider approving an agreement with Lincoln County to continue providing environmental health services.
●Consider approving an agreement with Ellsworth County to continue providing environmental health services.
●Consider a request to proclaim February 2023 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
●Consider a request from the Road and Bridge Department to purchase half tanker drainage structures.
●Consider awarding a bid for traffic paint and beads.
●Consider awarding a bid for 2023 crack sealing.
●Consider a temporary construction easement at the jail site.
●Hear County Administrator Phillip Smith-Hanes' update.
