A house being renovated in west Salina was burglarized recently and multiple items, including a motorcycle, were stolen.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that sometime between 1 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday, someone broke into a house in the 900 block of Maple. The backdoor was found to be unlocked and a number of boxes had been gone through. Five lanterns valued at $50 were taken.

Inside the garage, a vehicle had been moved and a 2006 Harley Davidson XL 1200C motorcycle with Kansas tag of 24AIF was taken, he noted. The motorcycle did not have keys with it and was valued at $10,000.

Inside a large roll-off trash dumpster, officers located two Milwaukee power tool boxes. One had contained a Sawzall and the other a hand drill. Both items were missing. The tools were valued at $800, according to Forrester.
